Cereal Milk! TM

Spurred by my excitement at meeting Christina Tosi I attacked the Momofuku Milk Bar Cookbook with renewed vigor. Milk Bar may be best known for it's "cereal milk"TM, and I had yet to attempt a cereal milk recipe. I decided to use Captain Crunchberries as the base for my cereal milk. It had been a long time since I had eaten this cereal and was a bit dismayed to find that the crunchberrie had morphed into a multicolored fruit (blue, green, and pink). Hence my cereal milk was an odd brownish green color instead of a beautiful pink. I am also the type of person disappointed by the proliferation of marshmallow shapes in Lucky Charms--pink hearts, orange stars, yellow moons, blue diamonds and green clovers not good enough for Gen Z?
Fortunately once the cereal milk custard was mixed with the whipped/sour cream mixture it became a beautiful ecru color and weirdly reminiscent of peanut butter pie. The corn cookies that are used for the crust are stand-alone fantastic--one batch of cookies made enough for two pie crusts + snacking.
What's that salad picture doing here? Reminding you to make good food choices... Butter lettuce with watermelon, olives, feta, blood orange and chicken. Dressed with a drizzle of white balsamic/olive oil/blood orange juice, chiffonade of basil.
